Port Pirie Croquet Club

The Port Pirie Croquet welcomes visitors and interested players to come and join us for a game of croquet.

Location

The Port Pirie Croquet club is part of the Memorial Oval Sporting Complex. You will find the Memorial Oval is central to not only the city but also the main venue for many sporting clubs and other social activities including the Smelters Day Picnic.

The Port Pirie Croquet Club is on Mary Elie Street next door to the bowling club.

Playing Times

Association croquet is played every Thursday Morning except mid-December to the end of January. (start time will depend on hot weather rules) usually in winter commences at 9:00 am -12 noon and in summer 8:30 am -11:30 am.

Association Croquet members also link with other clubs (Crystal Brook) every Wednesday morning to play Pennants Competitions for the summer and winter seasons.

The social croquet members play either association or golf croquet, in the winter Saturday from 1:00 pm -3:30 pm and Night Owls during daylight saving from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm.

Come and stopover on your way to Flinders Ranges, give us a call, we can arrange a friendly game outside of our normal playing schedule.

For new players, please come and try, our members are more than happy to show you the basics of how to play association and golf croquet. We are able to provide some one-on-one instruction as well.
